Kora ("the app") is published by CRESCADE LLC ("we"). This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes and why. Questions: hello@crescade.com.
Your account
To use Kora you create an account with Sign in with Apple or with your email address. We use your account to keep your conversations and, if you use couples mode, to connect you with your partner. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay email address instead of your real one.
What we store
Our backend runs on Supabase in the United States. It stores your account details, your chat history, and couple data such as your partner link, shared sessions and their summaries. We keep this information until you delete it or delete your account.
Who processes your information
We use these service providers, and each one gets only what it needs:
- Supabase (United States) hosts our database and sign-in. It stores your account, chat history and couple data.
- xAI (Grok) generates Kora's replies. When you send a message, the conversation needed for the reply is sent to xAI.
- LiveKit Cloud runs voice calls. The audio of a call passes through LiveKit so Kora can listen and answer.
- Apple Push Notification service delivers notifications. It receives a device token and the notification text.
- RevenueCat manages in-app purchases, which Apple processes. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, not your name or email address. We never see your payment details.
- PostHog (servers in the USA) receives anonymous usage events, a device identifier, and diagnostics and crash information. Usage statistics are on by default. These events don't include your messages or call audio, are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking across apps or for advertising. You can turn statistics off at any time in the app's Settings. In the EU, the EEA and the UK, the app asks for your consent on first launch and sends no usage statistics unless you agree.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data, we don't use advertising tracking, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. We don't use your conversations to show you ads.
Kora is not therapy
Kora is an AI companion. It is not a therapist and not an emergency service. If you are in danger or crisis, contact your local emergency number.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and its data in the app's settings. This removes your account, chat history and couple data from our backend. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account. You can also email hello@crescade.com and ask us to delete your data.
Children
Kora is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
