Face Chart is a private client book for makeup artists. It is designed so that your client records stay on your iPhone.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your device and is not sent to us. That includes clients and their contact details, visits, face charts, product and kit lists, notes, consent records and photos. We have no account system and no server copy of your records.
Photos you take or import are stored as unchanged originals inside the app. The app asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to add a photo. If you decline, you can keep using the rest of the app.
Data you choose to share
- Exports and backups. PDFs, CSV files, photo shares and backup (.zip) files are created only when you tap the corresponding action. You choose where they go through the iOS share sheet. Backup files are not encrypted, so store them somewhere private. Once a file leaves the app, it is outside our control.
- Public photo sharing. The app lets you share selected client photos publicly only while you have recorded that client's marketing consent. Shared copies have location metadata removed and contain no client name, contact or notes.
Usage statistics
Usage statistics are on by default. The app sends anonymous product-interaction events (for example "a look was saved" or "a backup was created"), a device identifier, and diagnostics and crash information to PostHog (servers in the USA). These events never include names, contact details, notes, photos or other content. They are not linked to your identity, are not used for tracking or advertising, and stop as soon as you turn the setting off in the app's Settings. In the EU, the EEA and the UK, the app asks for your consent on first launch and sends no usage statistics unless you agree.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. The app uses RevenueCat to confirm whether a Pro subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase information from Apple; it does not receive your client records.
Reminders
If you turn on a kit reminder for a visit, iOS schedules a local notification on your device. The reminder text never includes the client's name.
What we do not do
We do not sell data. We do not show ads. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not use your records to train models.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual photos, visits and clients, or all records, from inside the app. Deleting the app also removes its on-device data. Backups or exports you saved elsewhere remain under your control and must be deleted there.
Children
The app is a professional tool and is not directed at children.
